Green Bay / Teluk Hijau

Located about 85 km to south of Banyuwangi City. To reach this beach about 3 hours from Banyuwangi we just follow the directions to Pesanggaran-Sarongan-Sukamade, that are still one lane of route to Sukamade beach, Merubetiri National Park.Teluk Hijau a fantastic green bay with its beautiful green cliff around. A dawn excursion to see animals grassing on the savannah is also impressing. They are virgin places you must know in the eastern tip of Java, banyuwangi, Indonesia Teluk Hijau or Green bay is located in Pesanggaran District , precisely in Sarongan village.

Green Bay is typical white sandy beach and lies at tropical forest. The bay also has panoramic view with green sea water inside and 8 meter high of waterfall. For those who give visit to this bay, the vehicles can be parked near Rajagwesi beach then we can walked to Green bay about 2km down from the cliff. There is also a parking spot closer to the Green bay, but the roads are inadequate. The Panorama that you can enjoy in here, those are Panoramic Green Bay, Stone Beach, Beautiful Cliff, annually Waterfall.

Here are the tips that you have to prepare before going to The Green Bay :

1. For vehicles to Green Bay, you should use a car with a 4WD transmission.
2. Bring food before going to Teluk Hijau because there are no shops.
3. It is forbidden to litter, so bring a plastic bag.
4. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
5. Access can be reached by boat around the bay but requires a small fee or the second option can be reached on foot starting from the parking area and then through the forest.
6. It is forbidden to abuse animals.
7. Don’t forget to bring drinking water.
