Ijen Crater – Sukamade Turtle Conservation 3 Days 2 Nights

Ijen Crater Tour

Day 1 : Pick up Point - Hotel/Homestay

Our team will pick you up at Banyuwangi Airport/Ketapang Harbour to the Hotel. And afterward we transfer you to the Hotel/Homestay. It's free time then. If you stay at the homestay near Ijen you have a chance to visit the Coffee Plantation and Spring Water guided by our Guide.

Day 2 : Ijen Crater Tour - Journey to Sukamade

You have to wake up at 00.00 AM ,so don't forget to prepare all you needs, particularly for hiking as the hiking shoes, warm jacket , Etc. We  start the tour We will arrive in Ijen Parking Area at 01.30 am while waiting for the locket is opened you can enjoy snack, coffee or tea in the shops at  the Ijen Area. When the gate is opened for Public,  Finally you’ll be going to walk as far as 3,5 kilometres with some of tracks that are uphill and flat at the top. In the second kilometer you can have  a rest for a while in the circle pos. And then we’ll start climbing again goes to the top of Ijen Mountain, which has a height  2.799 meters above sea level. To Enjoy the blue fire you need more effort,  we should go down with the steep track and crowded with the miners. It needs about 30 minutes for going down to the blue fire. for your notes : Use your Gasmask in this area and be careful, because it's slippery.

If you have already enjoy the blue fire and seeing the procces of mining sulphur, we start going up again to get ready for enjoying the sunrise and the wonderful turquoise of the Crater. At 06.00 we will go back to the parking area continue to Homestay for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, or breakfast . Afterwards, at 10.00 AM we starting the next trip to Sukamade Turle Beach.

Sukamade Tour

The Journey to Sukamade Turtle  Beach takes about  4 hours with car driving.  you will stay an overnight in a guest house in the the Meru Betiri National Park area.  Along the journey you can enjoy the rubber plantation, Cacao Plantation, passing the rivers, it is so fun. When we arrive there, you are still able to  enjoy the sunset view with wonderful panorama. And when in the evening you’ll be guided by a local sukamade turtle guide or as known as Ranger to find the sea of the turtles that come to the shore for laying  their eggs. They usually comes  to theshore around 20.00 and returns to the sea  midnight. A female turtle lays more than a hundred eggs.

Day 3 : Release The Baby Turtles - Drop Off Point

In the morning at 06.00, usuallly the conservation give us opportunity to release some of baby turtles to the Ocean. You can further explore the surroundings of Sukamade beach. So After breakfast, we prepare to check out and drop you to the Drop points as Banyuwangi Airport, Ketapang Harbour/ Hotel and the tour finish.
